Install Windows 7 and Windows 8 from a USB Flash Drive


This post shows you how Install Windows 7 or Windows 8 Release Preview from a USB Flash Drive.

IF you have a notebook, or whatever computer (Which have minimum requirements and working USB port and USB boot option in the BIOS) and would like to upgrade it to Windows 7 or Windows 8 Release Preview, you may inquisitive how it can be done from a USB Flash drive without using a DVD.







By following below steps that will allow you to easily, create your flash drive to a bootable device with OS on it.


Pre Requirements
  •          Windows XP SP2 or Higher (.NET Framework 2.0 and Microsoft Image Mastering API V2 – If you are using a WINXP Machine)
  •          A minimum of 4GB USB Flash Drive
  •          Windows 7 USB/DVD Download ToolDownload From Here


Instructions

Step 01-

Backup you files in the flash drive and format the flash drive as NTFS before use the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool.




Step 02-

There are only four steps with the Download Tool and First brows to the location of your Windows 7 or Windows 8 .iso and click next.








Windows 8 Release Preview ISO images can be downloaded from following links –

English
64-bit (x64)                  Download (3.3 GB)
32-bit (x86)                  Download (2.5 GB)   






Step 03-

Select your media type. Click USB device or this also can be used for burn ISO to DVD as well.



Step 04-

Choose you device and click Begin copying.



Step 05-

Just wait until the process complete. The drive will be formatted and copied content of the DVD to the Flash Drive.



Step 06-

Now, it is ready to boot and install Windows 7 or Windows 8. Now only thing you have to do is give first Boot Media as Flash Drive in BIOS settings.
